On the plane, over possibly Utah. I feel like we're racing backwards against the sunshine or just plain ol' leaving the sun behind.
Monday, Monday.. Downtown SF bustled like a real city, and we didn't. Nice lazy morning, filled with white sheets, the rec center (ran for 2 miles, and sweated given the lack of ventilation) and Starbucks' coffeecake and a crrappy croissant.
'Prepared to take the cable car to the wharf (yeeargh?). The cable car was filled with almost unnervingly quiet American tourists. PG was kind & cool enough to go into a Forever 21 with me before boarding and recommended a shirt that rocks. I changed into this much cooler, $6 non-polyester shirt in the dressing room. Yea!
We stood in the back of the car. :)
At the wharf, we looked at sea lions, which are amusing. They are funny, weird, amusing animals.
Then we hiked (well.. took the stairs) up San Francisco to Coit Tower, the almost sexily named tower, took in the wind and the view, carefully walked down San Francisco, stopped in Little Italy for French Bakery goods, and then to Chinatown for dim sum, which was, naturally, dimsumilicious.
'Back to the hotel, where a Ukrainian man named German drove us to the airport.
Now on board the plane. PG is at the front & I am at the back, watching the world turn indigo blue, and it will be good to be home.
Really? Maybe.. really? Really.
Onward.
